Nine new sub-stations for Delhi Metro

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is going to construct nine new power receiving sub-stations (RSS) and further strengthen four of its existing sub-stations for the upcoming Phase 3 Metro corridors.

The nine new substations will come up at Yamuna Vihar, Vinod Nagar depot, INA, Dhaula Kuan, Mukundpur Depot, Kalkaji, R.K.Puram, Palam and Faridabad.

Auxiliary power and traction power will be supplied from these receiving sub-stations to the Metro stations of the Phase 3 corridors.

In addition, four already operational power sub-stations of DMRC will be augmented so that their feeds can be extended to the Phase 3 corridors as well. These operational sub-stations are Jahangirpuri, Subhash Nagar, Botanical Garden and Kashmere Gate.

Phase 3 of Delhi Metro consists of 107 km extension to Noida (Botanical Garden) and 13 Kms extension to Faridabad.
